Edward and Elizabeth's relationship
In the history of the British royal family, there were different relationships between Edward and Elizabeth: ** I. The relationship between Edward VIII and Elizabeth II ** 1. ** Relatives ** - Edward VIII was the uncle of Elizabeth II. Their grandmother was Queen Mary. After Edward VIII's father, George V, died, Edward VIII inherited the throne. However, after he abdicated, his younger brother, Prince Albert (George VI), inherited the throne because he had no children. George VI's eldest daughter was Elizabeth II. 2. ** Reason for the bad relationship ** - Edward VIII abdicated because he wanted to marry Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Jones was an American who had been divorced twice. His actions were opposed by the British royal family and the people. After he abdicated, George VI, who was originally a spare tire, became king, and Elizabeth II became the crown prince and eventually inherited the throne. Before Elizabeth II was 10 years old, she had a good relationship with Edward VIII. However, Edward VIII's promiscuous behavior, especially his abandonment of the throne for a woman, made Elizabeth II dissatisfied with him. Moreover, during World War II, the Duke of Windsor (Edward VIII) and Mrs. Jones were suspected of treason, such as the Duke of Windsor providing intelligence to Germany, which deepened Elizabeth II's disgust for him. ** 2. The relationship between Prince Edward and Elizabeth II (the relationship between members of the royal family is not described in the reference materials)** They were members of the royal family. Prince Edward was a relative of Elizabeth II in the British royal family system, but more specifically, it was an ordinary member relationship within the family, which was different from the complicated situation of Edward VIII and Elizabeth II. ** 3. There is also the relationship between Edward IV and Elizabeth of York in history ** Edward IV was the father of Elizabeth of York. The hibiscus fairy
Hibiscus Fairy was an opera film directed by Shi Lan, scripted by Liu Guanqun, Wu Fuzhi, and Tan Shudong, and starred by Wang Guanwen and Zhang Ningjia. It was also a large-scale mythical Sichuan opera. In the 1980s, it was adapted by the Sichuan opera troupe of Xindu County according to the traditional Sichuan opera "Flower Fairy Sword". It was bold in content and form, which was both ornamental and artistic. The whole drama revolved around the immortal love between Furong and the scholar Chen Qiulin, showing Furong's noble character of "gentle and strong, not afraid of frost". After its premiere on March 8,1980, it caused a sensation throughout the country. It performed in many countries and regions at home and abroad, setting a record of more than 4700 performances of a play and becoming a cultural symbol to promote the rejuvenation of Sichuan opera. On the evening of September 14,2024, at the opening ceremony of the 6th Sichuan opera festival and the second Sichuan opera performance in Sichuan Province,"Hibiscus Flower Fairy", which was rehearsed by Sichuan Theater of Sichuan Province, made a stunning appearance. Chen Zhilin, chairman of the Sichuan Federation of Literature and Art and president of Sichuan Sichuan Province, served as the artistic director, Wu Fuzhi, the national second-class director, served as the screenwriter, Liu Yi, the national first-class director, served as the director of the rehearsal, Li Tianxin, the national first-class composer, served as the composer and orchestrator, and Pan Jianhua, a second-class professor of the Shanghai Academy of Drama, served as the chief designer of clothing and styling. There were some special elements in the play that reflected its fairy aura, such as changing flowers, changing faces (but there was also controversy about changing faces too much), the flower fairy spitting out red beads to save people, and other special effects such as the flower fairy passing through the wall in the past versions. Many viewers commented that the play was romantic and beautiful. The stage layout and actors 'performances showed the unique charm of Sichuan opera.
