An Analysis of the Key Points and Difficulties in the Teaching of Mathematics in the First Grade of Primary Schools in Kunming City
The key points and difficulties of first-year mathematics teaching usually included the following aspects: ** 1. Number and algebra ** 1. ** Understanding of numbers ** - ** Main point ** - Understand the meaning of the numbers 0 - 20, including the order of numbers (counting from front to back and counting from back to front), the comparison of numbers, and so on. For example, the smallest number was 1, the smallest natural number was 0, the largest number was 9, and the smallest two-digit number was 10. - Master the special meaning of the number 0, which means that there is no one, it also means that there is a starting point, as well as the rules of operation of 0 in addition and deduction (any number plus or minus 0, the number is still this number; the same two numbers minus 0 is equal to 0). - ** Difficulty ** - Distinguishing the concept of a few and a few."A few" meant quantity, and "a few" meant order and position. This was difficult for first-year students to understand and was easy to confuse. 2. ** Add and Subtract ** - ** Main point ** - To understand the meaning of addition and substitution, addition was to combine two parts together to find the total number (addend + addend = sum), while substitution was to remove a part of a number to find the remaining part (minuend-subtrahend = difference). - Master the calculation methods of addition and deduction within 10, such as the point method, the following number, the composition of the number, etc., as well as the addition within 20 (the ten method) and the abdication of the number (the ten method). - Understand the commutative law of addition, that is, adding two numbers and exchanging their positions, the resulting number is the same (A + B = B+A). - ** Difficulty ** - It took a certain amount of practice to master the proficiency of addition and abdication within 20, as well as the understanding and correct calculation of the ten plus and ten break methods. - When solving practical problems related to addition and substitution, they could correctly analyze the relationship between the numbers in the question, collect information from different angles, and eliminate unnecessary conditions according to the question. For example, they could judge whether to use addition or substitution to solve the problem according to the description of the question. ** 2. Diagram and geometry ** 1. ** Main point ** - Able to recognize rectangular, square, triangle, quadrilateral, circle and other plane shapes, master the basic features of these shapes. - Able to divide and assemble images in specific activities, such as using a tangram to assemble the plane images that they have learned. - When counting the figures, master the correct counting method, such as counting from left to right, from top to bottom, cross out one by one to avoid repetition or missing. 2. ** Difficulty ** - For the accurate identification of graphs such as the quadrilateral, due to its relatively complex shape, it may be difficult for first-year students to distinguish it from other graphs. - In the process of combining the shapes, the requirement for spatial imagination was high. It might be difficult for students to imagine the shapes of different combinations of shapes. ** 3. Data arrangement and analysis ** 1. ** Main point ** - Able to count correctly according to the requirements, clearly present the results, and analyze the data and ask questions on this basis. For example, in topics related to classification and sorting, one could classify things according to a given standard and count the number. 2. ** Difficulty ** - Analyzing useful information from the data and asking reasonable questions was a challenge to the logical thinking and language skills of first-year students.
