The college student resigned after signing the employment agreement.
In law, employment agreements were not official labor contracts. Their main purpose was to protect the legitimate rights and interests of graduates during their job hunting and employment from being violated by employers. Compared to labor contracts, they had fewer restrictions on employment personnel. Therefore, after signing the employment agreement, he could leave his job. If he was a formal employee, he should inform the unit in writing 30 days in advance to resign, and the contract could be terminated after 30 days. If he was in the probation period, he should inform the unit three days in advance to resign, and he could leave after three days. In addition, if the employer fails to provide labor protection or working conditions in accordance with the labor contract, fails to pay labor remuneration in full and on time, fails to pay social insurance premium for the laborer according to law, the employer's rules and regulations violate the provisions of laws and regulations and damage the rights and interests of the laborer, and the labor contract is invalid due to legal circumstances, the laborer can also terminate the employment agreement. If the employer forces the laborer to work by means of violence, threats, or illegal restriction of personal freedom, or if the employer gives instructions in violation of regulations or forces the laborer to work in a dangerous manner that endanger the personal safety of the laborer, the laborer may terminate the employment agreement immediately without informing the employer in advance. However, if a university student did not report to the employer on the agreed date, or was unwilling to work at the employer, it would be considered a breach of contract and would need to pay a certain amount of penalty to the enterprise. Usually, the penalty was one month's salary, but it could also be negotiated with the enterprise's human resources department. The amount might be reduced or even exempted.
