A summary of the college students 'employment survey
Based on the relevant survey results, the college student employment survey was summarized as follows: ** I. Job Intention ** 1. ** Choice after graduation ** - Most of the students tend to be directly employed or take the postgraduate entrance examination after graduation. Among them, 49.21% have the intention of employment and 33.02% have the intention of taking the postgraduate entrance examination. 2. ** Choice of workplace ** - More than 30% of the students chose to work in the city where their school was located after graduation. About 29% chose the city where their hometown was located, and only about 22% chose the first-tier cities. The main reason was that the first-tier cities had high living pressure, high competition pressure, and high consumption. There was also a gender difference. Girls were more willing to return to their hometown to work, while boys were more inclined to stay in the city where the school was located to work. 3. ** Job and Professional Match ** - More than 80% of the students tended to find a job that matched their major, and about 11% did not choose a job that matched their major. The reasons included that their ideal job was not related to their major, that they thought the development prospects of their major were not good, and that their professionalism was too high to be competent. ** 2. The situation of employment ** 1. ** The employment situation of fresh graduates ** - For new graduates, the employment situation is more severe. Most people think that the pressure is related to the reduction of recruitment demand and employment competitiveness caused by the epidemic, as well as some personal reasons. 2. ** Important factors in employment ** - When choosing a job, the room for upward development and salary level were the most important factors for students. The leader's style of doing things and the atmosphere of getting along with colleagues were also factors to consider. This indicated that students valued personal development more when choosing a job, hoping to realize their own value and get rewards in their work. Between a high-paying job and a job that they were interested in, more than half of the people preferred a high-paying job, and boys preferred a high-paying job, while girls preferred a job that they were interested in. ** 3. College students 'self-awareness ** 1. ** Abilities I lack ** - What university graduates lacked most now was practical and work experience. At the same time, professional knowledge was also essential. Schools should strengthen education and create a good environment for students to grow up. 2. ** Job Mentality and Dreams ** - There was a situation of "high but low" in the employment of college students. Some college students were more impetuous in their employment mentality. For example, many college students said that they would earn millions a year within 10 years of graduation. This may be due to the lack of social experience, which led to being too optimistic about the employment situation. However, there were also limitations in the survey sample and other aspects that affected the credibility of the data. ** 4. Careers Guidance and Job Fairs ** 1. ** View on employment guidance ** - Nearly half of the students thought that employment guidance was useful for achieving stable employment, about 47.1% thought it was okay, and only 4.4% thought it was useless. 2. ** Directions for improving employment guidance ** - In terms of the school's employment guidance for graduates, students believed that it should be more detailed in the company introduction and corporate recruitment information, employment policy guidance (not only interpretation but also teaching how to deal with and use), professional skills training, corporate staff's personal experience, corporate interviews, previous graduates 'work experience and feelings, job-seeking training skills, career planning guidance, and more social practice and internship opportunities. 3. ** Job Fair Type Selection ** - As for which kind of job fair was most helpful for employment, a certain proportion of students would choose from the discipline-specific job fair, comprehensive job fair, on-campus job fair, unit-specific job fair, online job fair, etc. Among them, the discipline-specific job fair and unit-specific job fair had a relatively high proportion of choices. ** 5. Choice of employment type ** - In terms of the preferred types of employment, large enterprises, self-employment, schools, institutions, government agencies, foreign enterprises, cooperative enterprises, etc. all had different proportions of students to choose from, among which the proportion of large enterprises was relatively high.
