Be a teacher at a university
There were many situations in a university. Judging from the job content, many non-professional teachers might not invest much in scientific research other than teaching. Some of them mainly focused on teaching. In terms of income, the average salary was about 130,000 yuan per year, but the income gap was large. The monthly salary of associate professors was about 10,000 to 12,000 yuan. Including various benefits, the annual income could reach 180,000 to 200,000 yuan. Some teachers had many topics and projects, and they had rich scientific research rewards. Some were good at writing articles, had more patents, or had more short-term projects. Their income would be higher. Some teachers were more "flat" and were not good at making connections. They had less income from outside work, and their income was relatively lower. The level of teaching was uneven. Some were knowledgeable and serious in teaching, and could make boring theories lively and interesting, but some were perfunctory. Moreover, many universities adopted a promotion or leave assessment method for teachers. Teachers below the associate professor level might face such assessment pressure, and the job competition was more intense. As for the situation of a doctor entering a university as a teacher, taking Shandong University of Finance and Economics and Shandong University as an example, the annual salary is 120,000 yuan + the research start-up fund is 100,000 yuan, and there are local rental subsidies.(For example, the rental subsidy of Jinan City is 18,000 yuan per year (three years), and the rental subsidy of Qing Dao City is 14,000 yuan per year (three years)), and the housing subsidy is 150,000 yuan. The results and ordinary doctors in the school are calculated according to the monthly salary of 10,000 yuan in provincial institutions. The year-end performance is usually three months of salary, 150,000 yuan a year. Those with excellent results can get an annual salary of 250,000 yuan. In addition, as a teacher, there were other benefits such as a one-time settlement allowance, children's enrollment, temporary housing, housing subsidies, and so on. They could also enjoy three months of winter and summer vacation every year, and there were about four days without classes every week (including weekends). Their children could enter the secondary school attached to the university, and they could enjoy the school's books, sports, restaurants, and other hidden benefits. Of course, there were also some unhealthy phenomena, such as some teachers having extramarital affairs and other problems with their ethics. Read more exciting novels for free
