What are the common themes in fictional taboo stories?
Well, a major theme in fictional taboo stories is the subversion of religious or cultural beliefs. For instance, stories might depict characters who go against the strict religious dogma of their community. Another theme is the exploration of abnormal sexualities or gender identities that were considered taboo in certain historical periods. Some stories may also focus on the theme of self - destruction that is brought about by engaging in taboo activities. For example, a character who is addicted to a forbidden substance and how it ruins their life. These themes are often used to create a sense of unease or shock in the reader, and to make them consider different aspects of human nature and society that are often swept under the rug.
Common themes in fictional taboo stories include the transgression of moral boundaries. This could be in the form of murder for reasons that are not morally justifiable, as in many noir - like stories. Another frequent theme is the distortion of family relationships. There are stories where family members have inappropriate relationships or act in ways that are completely against the traditional family values. Also, there is often a theme related to the misuse of power, where characters with power abuse it in ways that are considered taboo, like in some dystopian tales where the ruling class controls the masses in an unethical manner. In many cases, these themes are used to shock the reader and make them think about the limits of society's norms and values. It forces the reader to question what is truly acceptable and what is not, and also to understand the consequences of crossing those boundaries. It can also be a way for the author to comment on the society of their time, highlighting the hidden or ignored taboos that exist within it.

Can I apply to a university without a foundation in art?
Some universities 'fine arts majors may require candidates to have a certain foundation in fine arts. For example, Qujing Normal University's applicants for fine arts and art design majors (fine arts, visual communication design) should have a certain professional foundation; Yunnan Art University's fine arts, design, drama film and television art design, film and television photography and production majors also have certain requirements for candidates' fine arts foundation. However, there were also some universities that provided opportunities for candidates with zero foundation. For example, some art studios would conduct training from July to March of the following year. Through eight months of high-intensity study, they would help the art students with zero foundation to improve their standards for the joint examination and school examination. As long as the candidates were determined to concentrate on their studies, find a professional art studio with a mature teaching model, and follow the teacher, even if they had zero foundation, they still had the opportunity to apply for the university's art major. But at the same time, you should also pay attention to the fact that different universities may have other application conditions, such as physical health requirements (no color blindness, color weakness, etc.), cultural quality requirements, and different admission policies. Read more exciting novels for free
