Why do some undertale frisk abused fanfictions exist?
Well, in some cases, it could be a form of catharsis for the writers. They may have experienced or witnessed abuse in real life and use the Undertale universe as a platform to work through those feelings. By writing about Frisk being abused, they can explore themes of survival, hope, and recovery in a fictional context. Also, some might just be interested in creating shock value or a very different take on the familiar Undertale story to attract readers who are looking for something more edgy and unique.
Some exist to explore darker themes. Writers might want to show the resilience of a character like Frisk in the face of extreme adversity. For example, by having Frisk go through abuse, they can then show how Frisk overcomes it and grows as a character.
There could be a sense of wanting to add more depth to the Undertale story. Since the original game has a lot of complex characters and relationships, some fans might think that exploring the idea of Frisk being abused can add a new layer of understanding to the power dynamics and emotional states within the game's world. It's like taking a well - known character and putting them in an extreme situation to see how they react and how it changes the overall narrative. This can also be a way for fans to express their own interpretations of the characters and the game's lore in a more extreme way.
