Is there a novel version of Slam Dunk?

There was a novel version of a slam dunk called " The Flying Basketball Man." The author was the Japanese manga artist, Inoue Takahiko, who started his series in 1994. The plot of the novel version was different from the manga version, but it retained the classic image and plot of the manga. In the novel, the protagonist, Fujima, a basketball player of Sanno Industrial High School, experienced the reconstruction of the basketball team, grew up, and finally realized his dream. The novel also added some additional plots such as the protagonist's family background and the other members of the basketball team.
