Watching too many cartoons might have many effects. On the positive side, some foreign animated films such as the works of disney and Pixar often combined humor, emotions, friendship, and family, which could have a positive impact on the audience, broaden their horizons, and cultivate cross-cultural understanding. For example, Digimon conveyed positive qualities such as courage and friendship. Chinese cartoons such as " The Seven Heroes of Rainbow Cat and Blue Rabbit " spread the spirit of chivalry and cooperation in China. However, watching too many cartoons also had negative effects. From a cultural perspective, for the post-80s and post-90s generation, watching a large number of Japanese animations may be influenced by Japanese culture in a subtle way. From aesthetics to values, they may even identify with Japanese culture more than their own culture. Moreover, some of the values in Japanese animation did not completely fit with the "golden mean" and "harmony is precious" in China traditional culture. In terms of personal growth, some negative elements in the animation may have a subtle influence. For example, some characters in the animation may attack their opponents or express dissatisfaction through harsh language. The audience may unconsciously imitate this expression habit and affect interpersonal relationships. The competitive culture in some animations may strengthen people's "win-or-lose" thinking mode, bringing anxiety and eagerness for quick success. For children, if the cartoon was not chosen properly, it might contain violence, horror, or overly adult content, affecting the child's psychological and cognitive development. At the same time, excessive addiction to cartoons would affect the child's concentration and take up too much time to affect life and learning. Read more exciting novels for free
