Wesley was known as the " Father of Hong Kong Science Fiction-based Literature ". His representative works included " The Eastern Empire,"" Blade Runner," and " Dark Matter." Wesley was born in Hong Kong on January 24, 1930. His original name was Willy Lixian. He studied in elementary and middle school, then immigrated to the United States, received higher education in the United States, and received a PhD. During his time in the United States, he had submitted many articles but had not been published. In 1962, Wesley published his first sci-fi novel, Blade Runner, in Hong Kong, which received widespread attention from readers. Since then, he continued to publish science fiction novels and founded the Hong Kong science fiction literature society "New Humanity Society" to promote the development of science fiction literature in Hong Kong. Wesley's science fiction often involved science, philosophy, history, culture and other fields.
