this novel is a captivating bl novel that explore timely themes in societal oppression, identity and the power of personal choice. the author does a nice job of gradually revealing the characters vulnerabilities and motivations. as a reader, i found my self rooting for kai and ryuu to forge their own path and inspire positive change
