Shameless author review. This is all going to happen in first person, and a completely new take on this type of novel.

I just read the first chapter and already hate the Mc. Will it get better?

This is a review after reading 52 chapters of the story. The story is, like the title suggests, a cultivation story with a system. Now, what I like about the story. Pros : 1. The first person narrative that author uses. It’s extremely unique in cultivation novels which are usually done in third person. Refreshing for those that want to try a cultivation novel written in a different way than others. 2. Writing quality is excellent, I mean, there are no glaring flaws. That’s already an up as that’s all you really need. Author is pretty experienced, so this is to be expected. 3. Update stability is great, so that’s another major plus for the story. 4. Although MC has his flaws, what Mc has no flaw? The flaws are there to make us readers symphatize with the Mc and watch him grow. The longer we read, the more we see him fix his flaw and slowly mature into the ’ideal MC’ Cons : 1. MC relies too much on his system. Yes, it’s a system story, and I also get that one should exploit a cheat once they have it, but Mc needs to also learn to be more independent and instead of asking system all types of questions that he probably knows the answer to, ask more thorough ones that we readers don’t already know. Of course not all of the information is useless as there is a lot useful one, but it can be a bit tedious. Perhaps skip all those unecessary words by writing something like, ‘MC for the next hour or so asked MC all sorts of questions. Dumb as some of them were, he wanted to get everything straight, not missing anything out. After all, just a single detail could cost his life.’ Makes the MC look smarter and skips a lot of unecessary information that can be spread throughout the chapters. 2. This is more of a personal preference, but in first person narrative, I feel like the paragraphs are a bit too chunky. Can be cut shorter to be more pleasing to the eyes. (Just my personal preference.) 3. MC can be a bit indecisive at times, but that’s normal, jn fact, this is not even a con, I’m just putting it here in case Author forgets that character development exists. I get that MC is in an unfamiliar world, but CD is very important, don’t forget this. Well, that’s all from me. Although it looks like there are more cons than pros, most of the cons are just my suggestions to author on how he could develop the story for future continuity. Those flaws can easily be fixed and contribute to future of the story. Good story, would recommend.

So after reading 40+ chapters. (Idk how I came this far but I am going to discontinue now, still here's a review of what I found) First of all this is your typical trash chinese novel ok but readable... Grammar and quality is alright, could even say better than average but again full of cliche' like trash child, having a fiance who wanna most likely break the proposal? not confirmed yet, gate guard whose mysterious and more powerful than the clan leader, mysterious dragon pet egg and lastly most cliche that mc isn't the real son of the family and his father was a big shot at a time and now the mc has big shot emimes because of that. So basically, this novel has every fricking cliche you can think of. Most irritating thing is MC's personality...he complaints every 2 dialogues, nah more like whenever he breathes. He's arrogant, foolish, brainless with no what so ever power or knowledge to justify his arrogance or foolishness. So, if you like being irritated or like this type of MC...go for it. Action scenes sucks very much I had to say and for a cultivation novel, its a big put off for me. Pacing is slow too like you can see even after what 40+ chapters...we haven't even seen MC's so called fiance. Characters are very dull, like his supposingly adopted father doesn't shows any affection for thr MC...only yelling and scolding even after he comes out on top of his family's other youngsters. only his mother loves him in his family probably and she isn't even his real mother idk yet (but main put off is that even after so much humiliation and struggle from his peers in his family, MC thinks of paying off the family by bring strong). I think that was all so my final thoughts? try first 5-8 chapters and this novel continues the same vibe so don't think mc will get better or story will progress, if you like that 5-8 chapters then this novel is for you, ty. peace ☮️✌️

I'm not saying this novel is bad or anything. I just wanted to say why do writers love to make the protagonist have to go through the family drama complex? They weren't even his parents, and what made the most sense was that his real parents and family were still on earth, and he was here acknowledging them as new parents to him? Is it so difficult to make a protagonist who doesn't have to be reincarnated into someone else? Why not just make the protagonist transmigrate with the created body he wants? That's why I'm fed up with cultivation novels where the protagonist is reborn as a baby or reincarnated by entering someone else's body! It was clear that he still had his real family and parents on earth, why did he have to admit they were like new parents to him? Maybe if he was an orphan or a lonely person who had no one on earth it would be understandable. Sorry, if I were in the position of the protagonist, I would tell them the truth, I would tell them that I am not their biological child, because their child has died and I am only occupying his body. They probably won't believe what I say or at worst they'll think I killed their biological son and occupied his body. I also have another choice, as long as I occupy their child's body, I will distance myself from them, I will cultivate until I become very strong, then I will create a new body for me to occupy, with that I will return their child's corpse to them. . The point is it doesn't make sense that you have to go through a family drama, because they are complete strangers to you.

The dragon's harem

What makes dragons strong? It's not their power or magic, but their mind. Arrogance, greed, Iron Will, and the lack of human restraints. What would happen if you threw such a creature into human society? Would they understand humans? What does love even mean to them? This is the situation that our MC, Arad Orion found himself in. A newborn dragon bringing "Might make Right" to the humanoids, but why? Due to an abnormal condition, the mighty void dragons are on the brink of extinction. Their bodies have suddenly started rejecting their kind. Due to that, Arad's mother dropped his egg into a forest where he could hatch safely, leaving him with a fragment of her consciousness and informing him of the condition of their race. From that point, his goal became clear. To save their race by either finding a cure for their condition or going the second route of making more void dragons. But, sadly, nothing is ever that easy. Finding a cure is almost impossible. Arad is still practically a newborn and cannot tap into the terrifying might of his race, and his rarity makes him a prime target for mages and scholars seeking to study the dying race. Dragons are arrogant, proud, and vicious. Yet those feeling extends to those whom they love. You who touched a dragon's love, Retribution is an insult, and life is a crime. Beware as merely existing draws the dragon's wrath. Follow Arad on his journey as he grows from a naive wyrmling to a grown dragon with enough wisdom and power to stand with the strongest of the world. *** If you liked the story, please support it with power stones and comments! He raids the wastelands, reclaims lost resources, and dismantles the prejudice against summoners. Every day, his power grows, his bond with his dragons deepens, and his legend spreads like wildfire. [A/N: This is a slow paced novel, don't expect the protagonist to suddenly start out overpowered and start dominating left and right, he will become an overlord of dragons, yes, but it will take time.
