It started off real nice, but as time went on it became more and more frustrating to continue reading. How can a person be so submissive and have such idiotic way of thinking?! I understand the premise of him being dependent on his master for both protection and system points, but the way let's both his master and all the others treat him makes me want to puke. Even his own disciple treats him like shit!!! Overall it started off nice(the first 20 chapters), the it went downhill real fast!!! definitely don't recommend it!

LIKEHonestly, I disagree. First off, he is ingratiating himself to his master, not being submissive. Also, like you said, it was on the premise of him depending on his master for points and protection. Secondly, his disciple is not really his disciple and only became his disciple for the purpose of the MC's master. Third of all, he has no standing. Do you think a person who is two full cultivation stages ahead of another would treat them respectfully, especially when she was recruited for manual labor? Keep in mind that this is a xianxia / xuanhuan world. This world is based off qualifications and he has no qualifications except being his masters disciple, which isn't really his own personal qualification. Only at the end of the trial read chapters that he starts to gain some qualification. Lastly, this is suppose to be a novel where the MC ingratiates himself to someone, as derived from Devotion part of the title. You can't really criticize the MC for being like that to his master since it's the whole point of this novel. Have a nice day. Good bye.
Exactly. They don’t know what they’re talking about
