Hahaha..that was what I'm trying to say. I don't know the author but I think he never met a foreigner before and has been brainwashed by his goverment making him unable to have any original thoughts. All chinese author have these problem everytime they talked about race. If Chinese nowadays were given the chance to write the Journey to the West, I betcha their Sun Wukong would not only beat the Jade emperor, they would claim Wukong defeated Archangel Michael, Jesus, Zeus, Odin, Ra and defeat every single Gods there is in existnce because Wukong is also in that novel will become Han Chinese

meh, country favoritism is usually normal. in my country, some novels has gangster or mafia queen as the mc that is unbeatable by any people and foreigners are merely assistants. or they are hella rich, much richer than bill gates and stomps at other companies on their way. or the other lead is a foreigner that speaks are language and is proficient at other languahes but is soooo smitten by mc that he decides to stay or smth. (but characters are usually half korean or half european just for the sake of visuals ._.)

That's not entirely true. While, yes they were using crucible steel in the construction of some of the most exquisitely crafted blades of the viking era (the Ulfbehrt sword comes to mind) they aren't actually believed to be the origination point for said metal. In fact, studies conducted on several of the current extant examples of Ulfbehrt swords depict two situations, namely that 1) there are many forgeries that use pog iron, or other such low carbon, high impurities steel, and 2) those blades that test positive for crucible style steel have a very similar kind of trace metals composition as crucible steel produced around the Damascus region of the Middle East. Historians believe most, if not all, of the crucible steel used in the genuine Ulfbehrt swords was likely obtained through trade and subsequently shipped back to Viking controlled lands.
