Nonsense, this obsession with "resources" comes straight from CN materialistic BS copied from crap cultivation novels. Naruto is a terrible example because he wasn't "purified" by Kurama; in fact, it’s the complete opposite, as the tailed beast chakra is a special kind of chakra that is harmful to the host, which is the reason Uzumaki who naturally have resistent bodies are chosen as jinchuuriki. At no point was this "resource" thing ever mentioned as necessary, many of the best ninjas were completly broke or penniless until they got strong, it’s all made-up garbage so the author can create stupid resource acquisition plots. It’s also a veiled cope to demote everyone who’s strong as simply being "backed" by forces. What I hate the most is that it makes a world of martial arts and techniques all about money. Another ridiculous mistake some CN fanfics make is thinking normal chakra is harmful when there’s no clear hint of that. The reason kids start training at age 5-6 is the same reason school starts at that age in the real world, because they’re mature enough to learn. When they have natural talent and early wisdom they can start earlier, as it was the case with Kakashi and Itachi, no bs resource needed. Could some magical training resources help? Yes, of course, but they would need to be created in the first place! The only time drugs or similar enhancements were mentioned was by Orochimaru later on the plot, but he was a mad scientist who killed thousands to develop his methods and had no regard for safety whatsoever, he shouldn't be used as a standard for what clans do with their children. The other reason I don’t like these kind of mistake about how the world works is because 99% of the time, this nonsense is accompanied by other stupid misconceptions and blatant copies of concepts from shit-tier cultivation novels.
