Completely wrong. To begin with, only the first and fifth magics were created to after "reaching" the root, the others were created as a means to reach the root. Despite this, after thinking about it for a while I think that if the current user of the Magic decides to pass his path to someone else, it might be possible for that person to use the path since none of the Magicians actually went to the root, they all got extremely close and decided to retreat since it is a one-way path.

So, I followed this novel in the beginning, but there was a big hiatus and when they mentioned that the love interest suddenly changed to a guy after so much development with Lyrica I lost all desire to continue the novel. I recently saw on the wiki that Lyrica confesses to Shiro and Shiro kisses her back, but at the same time the guy is still marked as the love interest. I want to continue the novel, but first I wanted to know who the final love interest is so I don't get too disappointed if it's not Lyrica.

Legendary heroes cannot travel together as this impedes growth.

It's one thing to read a fic that will probably be dropped and another to read one that you're sure will be dropped. In the first one, you at least have hope that the story will continue so you can enjoy it, in the second one, you know that it will get to a point where it will be dropped and you'll spend a lot of time imagining what the next chapter would be like that will never come. If you've read enough fics or books to have been hooked by a masterpiece that ended up being dropped, I imagine you understand why many people avoid fics that were dropped or that will be dropped. The feeling is simply horrible, I've gone through some really bad cases of this, the worst being my favorite book series, the Kingkiller Chronicles. To this day, every now and then I catch myself hoping for book 3 to come out only to have them crushed by an author who has been saying for years that the book is almost finished but never finishes it.

Furthermore, a duel between level 99s only ends with one dead if both decide to fight to the death without giving up. If one decides to run away, it will be difficult for the other to kill the other.

It's not like the dragon god chose them, it was fate that decided, the dragon god just chose to protect them.

We probably won't see much more action. MC's strength is already almost level 99, he will most likely reach that level if he fills the rings of the second martial soul and so there aren't many opponents for him to face given how rare Doulouos are in this era. It's likely that the fic will continue like this for a while until the final war.

I really don't see any reason to attack the sect since they aren't enemies of the MC, although they aren't allies either. It would have made more sense to have killed the Spirit Hall Douluos.
