Otherwise, the person ends up getting frustrated when they see the story isn’t growing, feels like they don’t fit the platform, loses motivation, and eventually abandons the project. And that’s sad, because you can tell there was effort and an interesting idea behind it.
This guy actually knows what he’s talking about. “Villain of Destiny” delivers on all fronts — yeah, it has some spicy content, but it’s not just that. The worldbuilding is insane and the lore is solid. Keeping that level for 500+ chapters isn’t easy. That’s a legit recommendation.
Saying sexual content always ruins a story is a stretch. Anything done badly ruins a story — action, drama, plot twists… it’s not the theme, it’s the execution. When it’s done right, it actually adds to the story — builds characters, relationships, tension. Acting like it’s automatically a problem is just oversimplifying. And the “it kills long-term engagement” take doesn’t really hold either. Plenty of stories balance it well and keep people hooked. If you don’t like using it, that’s fine. But calling it a storytelling standard is pushing it.
That’s not really a narrative rule — it’s just your personal preference. Saying sexual content always overshadows a story doesn’t hold up. Any element, if poorly handled, can do that — action, drama, even plot twists. The issue isn’t the theme itself, it’s the execution. When used well, it can actually develop characters, deepen relationships, and even drive the plot forward. Dismissing it as inherently harmful is an oversimplification. And the point about long-term engagement isn’t a universal truth either. There are plenty of works — including fanfiction — that balance this kind of content with strong storytelling and keep audiences invested over time. If you prefer not to include it, that’s totally fine. But presenting that choice as a general standard for narrative quality is a stretch.

Hey, my name is Arthur, I'm a pirate assassin, but when I see Daddy Roger, I want to shake my ass for him.
She becomes a woman and sleeps with Roger right away, what a shitty protagonist.
