Seriously, You all went astray. If you want dual wielding weapons, shield and leviathan axe. Just make this story called Danmachi as Kratos from the beginning. If you want protagonist to be a witcher just make him fight like a Witcher. A witcher is professional hunters that specialize in hunting monsters stronger than themselves. They makes use of their poison resistance abilities to consume highly risky and dangerous potions that could greatly boost their power. Use poison oil to weaken their stronger foes. Use Sign to distract their enemies while fighting. Sword (one and a half hand sword or bastard sword) is already the perfect weapon for a Witcher. Spear and dual-wielding weapon make it more difficult to use sign while fighting. a chain weapon is only handy if you want to capture a monster. a leviathan axe is a good toy it could kill monster from a medium range but an enchanted automatic crossbow is more practical. Just make many special arrows that could return to quiver.

Just give him the weapons that witchers usually uses like 2 sword with different extreme enchantments, a Crossbow with enchantments or with special arrows that could return to quiver, Potions that greatly boosts his strength to the point that he could defeat adventurers 2 level higher than him and only can be used by Witcher, bombs of various types and poison oils that could be use for hunting more powerful monsters. If you want anything more fancy, how about Trick weapons from Bloodborne.

The story is too heavy and too dark, Well, I expected it to be lighter, simpler and more casual so I was caught off guard reading it while expecting it to be a relaxing story. With its moderately stressful story and too extreme power standard, it literally makes my head hurt while reading it. But at least, the Bofuri characters are not deviant too much from their originals.
