I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but this book really surprised me, in a good way. Unlike most one piece fanfics, the main character doesn’t chase the usual goals like becoming the Pirate King, King of the World, or being the strongest. And honestly, that’s what made it so refreshing. The MC has their own path, and it makes the journey feel more grounded and unpredictable. The side characters are also great. They feel like real people with their own quirks. That said, I did notice some similarities to characters from Luffy’s and Shanks’ crews, so I’m guessing the author took a bit of inspiration there. Overall, it’s a solid read. Highly recommended.

Interesting. 25 chapters in, and I am invested in this. The story is interesting, and good for binge reading! I just hope that the MC will really act as a "Dark Lord" even if not on the same level as Voldemort in the future. Maybe on the same level as Gellert Grindelwald?
