I thought it was not that bad, so I left it.

Because he is not powerful enough..yet. His behaviour changes as his power grow, or more accurately he started showing more of his hidden side that he suppress as he grow more powerful.

In Naruto world bloodline is most important, and most of the plot points are eye related powers so in a way it can be called a eye legend, so I left it as a it is.
