The art is fantastic and the story is short and sweet. I just wish there was an additional chapter between the 2nd to last and last chapter. It’s fine, but a bit of a time jump. I wanted the conclusion to linger a bit longer. But that’s just a personal opinion.
There’s a novel version but I don’t think it’s on this site and the translation I found is really hard to understand. It’s like they used a really bad machine translation with zero proofreading. It’s called, The Imperial Concubine Just Wants To Be a Salted Fish Every Day.
The same boy she and her mother had tied up, though 🤔
I agree. With the title “3rd Son” he might get mistaken as the 3rd son of Roubai, but it clarifies he’s the 3rd in line for inheritance of the Jiang family as a whole.
A comic listed as complete that’s actually complete ☺️
I liked how trashy it was in the beginning. It was definitely a toxic relationship but I found the story fun. I had a hard time continuing after the baby was kidnapped, though. It just got too ridiculous. I read until after they got the baby back and just quit. That baby also was supposed to be an infant but would age to a toddler, then reverse age to a baby in a few panels.
Even without a season 2, they could still wrap up a happy ending with just a few more chapters.
It reminded me of a few other stories on this app, but more like a hodgepodge than an exact remake. I still enjoyed it, especially because they didn’t take forever for the main leads to accept each other’s feelings. My main complaint is that it’s marked as complete but it ends in the middle of a new story arc. I’m not always annoyed by stories that end a bit abruptly as long as enough concluded, but this ended in the middle of introducing new characters and seemed to have a big plot building.
I feel like it’s something like this. That he didn’t do anything directly, but indirectly just because of who he is and his involvement with the Royal family.
I love this story so much! I also read the comic, which is not yet complete at the time of this review. It’s basically the same until they finish conquering the continent. It’s still mostly the same, but with minor differences and sometimes more detail. I thoroughly enjoyed both versions.
