Thank you. you too 😊
You have nothing to apologize for. After that person's last reply I went to check their profile and realized they were doing this to everyone lol. I learned that the best way to deal with people like this is to ignore them. They just want attention. I don't even usually leave comments on anything so that was really unlucky 😅 ... anyway. Thank u for the warning. I read book 1 through kindle so I never realised that people hated Maxi?? or any of the other characters you mentioned. It makes no sense. But as I said, there's no point in trying to reason with people like this. It's just a waste o time
Don't understand why you keep trying to insult me, but I can tell we're never going to agree on anything. Have a good day or night wherever you are
I never said I expected Rosetta to help Maxi. They were both children when the beatings started. It's obvious there is nothing Rosetta could've done. That's not the point. What I was trying to say is they both have trauma from growing up with a father like that, there is no one to blame but the Duke for their broken relationship. And although I understand what your saying, from my perspective (that I remember) Rosetta was always very cold and said hurtful things to Maxi. Sorry but for someone that knows what Maxi has been through she lacks empathy and understanding. And you don't "snap" someone out of depression. And when you say she helped stop a war, that was also to Rosettas benefit. She never would've gotten married and escaped her father otherwise. I of course agree with you when you say Maxi never thanked Rosetta for helping her, but I'm sure you noticed that Maxi is a flawed human being. I agree with the first comment of this thread, people shouldn't be taking sides. They're both broken and in need of love, kindness and understanding
I really think he needs to know
right???
Sorry, I've read the main story a while ago so maybe I'm forgetting, but besides the day she drugged the guards and helped Riftan rescue Maxi from the duke, when was Rosetta helpful to Maxi? or tried reaching out? I mean like you said we don't know a lot about their past, but I didn't see Rosetta being much better at trying to mend their relationship. (sry if my writing is weird sometimes, english is not my native language :)
You have to understand that Maxi grew up thinking she was worthless and just a waste of space. That nobody cared whether she lived or died. On the other hand Rosetta was beautiful and charming, with no apparent flaws. Maxi thought Rosetta was loved by their father, and was deserving of such love and appreciation. Rosetta had all the best things given to her. And since they were both children when the beatings started, maybe Rosetta began distancing herself from Maxi out of fear or vice-versa, and so they didn't create any bonds. But little did Maxi know that Rosetta was doing everything she could to avoid a fate similar to hers, that she also lived in terror of that man. The only one that ruined their sisterly bond was that despicable man they call father. Hopefully in book 2, since Rosetta should be married already thus not living with their father, they can work things out and start healing together.
