I’m gonna be completely honest, the best fics are the ones where the mc has a strong and unexplored backstory before transmigration. The ones were they aren’t that impressed by the system and just see it as a tool.

I wouldn’t try anything too uncommon. You just need to make sure that their is enough established lore to work with.
