You should update more on the chapters you're a good writer Your story line is good you just need to update more 😀 you should also sit down to write more and to develop a good understanding of your characters if you think this should go in the story line then put it in the story line for it is your story so you have a better understanding of the story your writing and another thing is to always be prepared
