I recently got into the, I guess you could call it the reboot, of this legend, LEGO Monkie Kid, and my mum got me into Journey to the West, which I personally found to be a cringeworthy show, though I believe for its time of production was a good show. I went to find the original story and came across this book, which I never would have expected to have 100 chapters! (Though personally, with the story revolving around Heaven and Earth, it would have been more expected to have 360 chapters, to represent heaven reaching all-though I am not disappointed with the amazing amount that 100 is). It is amazing to see the original story, and I would 100% recommend this to anyone interested in Chinese mythology.

I'm eternally grateful to get to read the original tale of the great journey. I came from the lego reboot of this mythical story, "Monkie Kid" and it is amazing to get to read the origins of it.
