Yes, it's her fault, kind of. It's not ONLY her fault, and she never meant it to happen, but still... if she had made a couple of less selfish decisions, things would be very different now. But the fact remains that the past is past and can't be changed, so it's the right attitude to look forward and focus on doing what she can to fix things.
