Hello ! Mandatory 5 ⭐️ from the author here ! I guess I did pretty well for the first chapter ? At least I like what I have written, even if I would have liked to make it a bit longer. But the 1st chapter is only the past on Earth before reincarnation anyway, it doesn't need to be that long. I hope you will enjoy this novel, takes a lot of time from what I have seen so far, through it might become easier with more experience... Don't hesitate to give your opinion about anything and everything, I will try to correct any mistake you might notice, just comment on the paragraphs with mistakes and it will be done. I will probably add details little by little as well, as inspiration comes !
So, if i sum up this paragraph...She has the body of "kingdom toppling beauty" but the heart of a "young master", and because of that the MC didn't manage to "practice dual cultivation" with her ? Reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on it...🤔
I agree, generally, overpowering old monsters is badly done and looks like a deus ex machina. But sometimes the older you are the more adamant you are in your ways and the easier it is to fall into complacency, underestimating someone young. Time can also make you stagnant, forgetful, and some old people can't keep up with the time, which can be fatal. So someone old is not necessarily someone strong, you need to keep improving at all time and accumulate power for a long time without underestimating anyone, staying cautious for any trap or trick in all circumstances... Not easy to keep the right mindset for centuries without falling for the pitraps of time.
The most important part is not exactly the future, but how the world works and the reason why such future happened in the original story. Knowing how the system works allows you to manipulate it to favor you, or at least to have an easier life. Also, main events, politics, characters' personality are what shape the future of a world, so when you understand them, you can take the liberty to act and still roughly know what will happen even if things change. Or even better, make sure that everything will be in your favor or at the very least, that you won't be negativly affected. Information about power ups, hidden plots, enemies and schemes behind the scenes are also a big help. When all of them are combined you can choose the most optimal way to gain power pretty fast, (what power is the most useful in X world knowing what will happen and how to get it) while still having the most important part of the story under your control, with occasional power ups as time passes to remain strong or improve even more/faster.
One incredible novel that exploit the power system pretty well is "I'll surpass the MC". There are multiple protagonists (literally seven protagonists) but we mainly follow just one of them with occasional other POV. And each one has his own path to power, through it may feel a bit forced at time.
I totally agree that staying hidden while accumulating strength is a good idea, that's what i would do at least, but it's not always possible. Sometimes you don't have the luxury or the time to hide at all (lack of ressources to even survive, being constantly on the move because you are wanted for whatever reason you have no control of, having a timer above your head...). Sometimes you need to fight to get used to your new abilities after getting a power up, which can attract a lot of attention once you reach a decent level, either because of the damages caused to the surroundings or because of the identity of your opponent. Sometimes you have to do some things yourself, such as building connections/reputation or getting a power up by personally killing someone and absorbing their soul/exp/magic/lifespan/potential/talent... Some places can only be accessed with the right bloodline, sometimes a weapon can only be wieled by the one who finds it first or kills it's owner (through binding, althrough if an intermediary gets it and doesn't realise it's true worth, you can kill them and get the benefit... an example would be the death stick in Harry Potter). So, using an intermediary is a good idea, but only for the less important parts of your plan (In one piece for example, asking an intermediary to get a devil fruit for you is clearly dangerous, said intermediary can get greedy and eat it, even using it to kill you afterwards and get the reward from your corpse...). Through in Tensura, I doubt that there will be a problem like that.
