He has to train hard to become strong and receives nothing as a gift – that’s what I love most about it. So, there’s no instantly overpowered MC; it takes time, but he eventually becomes strong. He’s not a hero, but he’s not a villain either. You could call him an antihero. This is one of the best fanfictions, and I really hope you continue writing it, even if you don’t have much time.
