Probably only the author has a chance of knowing the answer. It’s a good question though, got me wondering about the answer too.

I of course want him to live a long life too, however he doesn’t need immortality. What good would training endlessly do for him when the demons would’ve been long wiped out? All your asking for is the mc to live a long lonely life full of despair.
