Bro stop making me cry, I have hyperphantasia so I'm pretty much living in the story and looking at this close friends loosing there bond is hard as hell for my eyes.

It's quite good the chapter's don't feel subpar the plot is good the direction is good and the most important thing is that MC's character personality matches the world of one piece quite well so it doesn't feel so foreign when reading.

Well you're not the original author and just translating it so it won't even matter if I say it here but still I'm gonna say it that this forced MC troup is now being hated by most of the readers. So I don't know if this story is old or not but knowing that a character which we focusing upon is being played by for someone's amusement is not such a great experience. But here the setting is a bit different so let's just see where it goes.

well i know that even mosquito meat is meat but that doesn't mean people will really eat them right. so the same way if the shield is just some basic shield then the stat boost won't matter much but that's a different thing if the shield is made up of magisteel or admantine or mythril.( i don't know if I'm pronouncing the metal name right or not) because than they could even give out some unexpected bonus. and the one thing i really didn't understand is why in the OG the MC didn't make any custom shield to experiment. like shield which has sharpen edges for attacking and many other such things.

Yup and looking at the way they were talking it looked like mc was threatened by that guy and how the fuk dom didn't know about it. Because it's close to impossible for someone to cross paths with doma crew and for him to not do anything about it. The plot here just seemed dumb on so many levels.

Because normal shields don't give any special effects or enchantments.
