I totally agree with all uve said. Tom is demanding too much too soon from Lucy. He knew going into the relationship that she was damaged goods. He should take the win and trust that therapy will get her on the road to healing, this realizing in the end she'll come around and he'll get what he wants eventually. He has not enough patience to help her. Also, I don't believe she is minipulation him purposely. I believe the tension she's feeling is why she cried.
