Because he thought any curse he'd copy would be great and held this mindset till he saw curses can be shit even for him

because a trash curse will do him no good having multiple abilities that aren't good is worse then a few great ones it makes sense why he hasn't be copying curses like crazy cus they may stack but don't mean there be anything worth wild
