in stupid land, martial arts is different from cultivating immortality. it is like a fighter vs a wizard. a strong fighter can sometimes beat up wizards but wizards can become immortal. although most fics now adays have martial stuff be way lower than cultivation think martial arts = wuxia while cultivation = xianxia.
