This arc was one of the best I've ever read in manga, although what comes next can't keep up with it at all

Even the greatest fanfictions are nothing compared to the best novels, and bad fanfictions in my opinion are not as bad compared to bad novels, because at least I just take them as entertainment, instead of actually getting inside them as I would do with a novel. There's some great fics out there, however a good fanfic author is not necessarily a good novel author, they have a different objective. However, I agree when you say we could have some nice fantasy fiction if certain fanfic authors start writing novels or webnovels, I just say most probably it will take them more than one try and improvement to reach a good level.
