I really shouldn't get my hopes up for Danmachi fanfics but I did and was disappointed. I could list all the reasons for dropping but I can't be asked to write all that, keep in mind I was ONLY 8 chapters in. It got that annoying. There are positives but the negatives are not something I can ignore, hence my review. I usually wouldn't bother to write a review for just another story I drop but this one was particularly annoying so I gave it 2 stars.

The best description I have for this story is, over the top and slightly cringe (And I've only read a couple chapters). It might be readable if you haven't read many Soul Land fanfics. The main character and his dad feel out of place in the Douluo Dalu setting. Both have similar names to characters from Sealed Divine Throne (another story from the Douluo Dalu author). So if it's meant to be some cross over it would make sense why they feel out of place. The writing quality is pretty good and the updates seem fine. It's just the mismatch between the MC and the setting of the story which feels very jarring to read.
