Not sure about the Yuri ever happening in the story, there shouldn't be any. But for a short period of time he does get imprisoned and lose consciousness. During that time he sleeps with his partners once using his clone, but his consciousness is in the clone, it doesn't think or do anything on its own.

There will always be a reason. Although, I agree I should start explain his thinking before his plan plays out. Otherwise readers will think there is no method to his assumed carelessness
