Not only are they smarter, they developed inside Erik and Inky for around 12 months, far more time than a normal human pregnancy, so their brains and bodies and far more developed. Like a baby deer that is born and walks after some minutes, they will grow to be incredibly smart. But yeah Erik is a strict parent, while Inky is the fun parent, and Sarah the aunty. :)

At this point is an expresion, but octopeople do secrete mucus that covers their bodies, its also poisonous, Erik is immune now, as well as anyone who takes their DNA they dont poison each other, but a normal human would be paralyzed.

Yeah, I have them all written down, its true that one person can only write so much indeed, unless i did side stories and such, if people like it i could include a chapter "how everyone's doing" every 10 chapter or so 🤔, for example Maktar is creating armors and equipment for the crab people on the side cylinder city and collaborating with Rose.

Same reason people eat bone marrow, our ancestors ate bone dust too, and people use bones always to make soup, it has the most flavor, i really like chicken neck bones and the spine i just roast and eat like popcorn all other bones as nuggets better, need to ground them well so no hard parts are left. For an awesome chicken soup you can also first grind the bones and then directly boil the resulting paste and then strain it, easy way to make quick and tasty chicken soup, you can also air fry the paste to turn into chicken oil and make anything after straining just the oil, like pancakes for example. My local butcher gives me bones and off cuts for free with my meat orders, as most butchers just give the bones and fat to soap makers anyway.

Raw chicken bones ground to a paste, mixed them with chicken meat, ground again and deep fried with some black salt and pepper, the raw chicken bones are quite elastic and weak.
