Thank you, you saved me from powering through several chapters waiting for character development from the ML. I normally can handle the worst of the worst ML, but this one takes the cake. I could barely get past their meeting it was so bad. I was even pacing on each paragraph, picking apart how different it could be approached. I was quite literally close to tearing my hair out.
Shishi-odoshi aka the bamboo water fountain. This is what it looks like.
I did a bit of research and my wording should be corrected. it's not good to forcefully sweat out a fever, but it's also not good to drastically change your body’s temperature. Unless it is an extremely high fever to requires medical treatment, you can simply wear lighter cloths, take a lukewarm bath, and go to bed with a light blanket (this is taking account that this is historical and not modern time where nearly everyone has a fever reducer). Due to the wording the author or translator chose, it was confusing to me on what they were going for, and it came out like youthful ignorance that didn't even bother to fully explain. There are many types of fevers with different variations on treatment level and just using one classification for them all, does not sound like what the author is trying portray her as. Someone who is knowledgeable in the medical arts. Be that as it may, as someone doesn't get enough fevers to be considered knowledgeable, I just found this to be an odd writing choice. Sorry for how lengthy this got.
Turn off your brains for this one my friends, it's historical but it kinda reads like a modern day novel. It's a nice casual read, but that's all it is so far.
The more I read, the more I feel this is just a self insert novel.
I'm pretty sure indecisive and lacks decisiveness are the same thing.
I do wonder what dynasty this takes place in, because if I remember correctly most if not all dynasties found it hard if not impossible for women to divorce, even if they were daughters of the emperor.
