Actually, there’s a big difference that people often overlook. Being a pacifist isn’t just about “hating war” or “not liking fights.” A true pacifist, like Duchess Satine from Star Wars, believes that violence is never justified — not even in self-defense. In fact, extreme pacifism goes so far as to reject all forms of violence, to the point where even self-protection is seen as morally questionable or wrong. Now, someone like Itachi Uchiha — who, by the way, never claims to be a pacifist in canon — clearly hates war and understands its horrors. But he’s also someone who acts, even violently, when he believes it will prevent something worse. That’s not pacifism — that’s pragmatic sacrifice driven by the need to stop greater suffering. So yeah, hating war doesn’t make someone a pacifist. It just means they understand the cost — and sometimes choose the lesser evil to protect others, even if it means taking a life. A pacifist wouldn’t cross that line, even to save themselves.
there is a difference between hating war and being a pacifist.

Me, reading this comment two years later, laughing at my own genius and having a full-blown epiphany that Voldie would’ve hated this — because the guy is egocentric as hell — and now he’s been reduced to nothing but a mere footnote.
