Dipper(Mason) is about to become Mason’s version of Prime Rick, basically Prime Mason, and i love it.

this makes sense, cause rick from rick and morty in the snake people episode was able to force himself to concentrate to believe that he will make some formula and go back in time to his present so he wouldn’t have to go through the effort, his future self hated him for it but it worked. now let’s say if dipper forced himself to believe that his plan was never to go back to his present then we would have this future dystopia.
