I would say yes as it would be revealed later that some people could have a special talent. Some in the initial stages are like sharp intuition and aim. It needs to be developed and awaken though as those are not fully awakened. However, the MC's ability to fuse is a special ability, but it's an entire other type/level.
Update: I finished it, and it has 456 chapters. I definitely didn't expect to cry at the end as what unfolded pushed my tears to come out. The bond between humans as a whole and the persistence just came out. The mystery of the end of times, the eye, and the contract is also all revealed at the end. No crumbs left. Overall, I would recommend this if it got your interest. A 10/10!
This definitely piqued my interest as the settings of this are a bit different than the normal end of times genre. It's like a mix and match of end of times and contracting monsters. Definitely a unique perspective, so it's a must-read to me. Basically, the settings are at the end of times, as I said. But instead of elemental and physical powers, you can contract a monster. Who are these monsters? Could be your friend, family, or even pets if they didn't survive the evolution. To be able to contract, you must be the one who killed the monster. Or else you won't be able to contract it. It has levels, and at every level, you get a new contract slot for a new monster. You'll face a challenge to get that spot for your next monster. A sacrifice. Interesting, isn't it? The protagonist is also a stable character. He's not a holy father but a calm and well thought out character. He understands that what matters the most is his strength. With it, he will be able to speak within the group and have more use of his special ability. I would say that particular ability is OP, but it has its own rules and limitations. He will also expand his group and area as he gradually builds his strength. It's addicting to see how they've come now. The group also doesn't drag him down. Instead, they pushed themselves to their limits and works to contribute. They put the protagonist at the center as they know he's the center of their place. Without him, they won't have what they have now. The exploration of why this happened is also there, albeit slowly since this is the main plot. It's fun to see that there's progress every now and then. Overall, I love this, and I'll continue reading this until the end possible.
You search up the raw title (if you have it) in Chrome, and the results will appear.
I forgot the name already, but she won't appear until later chapters.
Update: The protagonist is already in the higher realm, so like starting again but in higher position than before as ascended monks are held in a high regard there. He also finally has a taoist companion, which I kinda predicted since there's a lot of foreshadowing that who it will be. At 600 chapter something, I see some repetitive plots happening. Although it can't be blamed since it happens a lot. I also became disappointed in the novel as it portrays the protagonist in a way that he doesn't love his beasts/insects that much. He's like a well hidden, self-centered person in the novel as it truly only revolves around him. I expected more on the beasts as it's on the title and synopsis, but they're merely a sideshow in the novel. Overall, it's a decent read with a nice plot and buildup, but don't read it if it's the beasts that caught your interest/attention.
Currently reading this in raws, and so far, so good. The plot is a stable one, although a bit slow, in my opinion. Nevertheless, the arcs flow right to the next one and don't feel abrupt at all. The protagonist is also a stable one, not a genius build kind. He does have talent in the field of magic and alchemy, that I admit. Although not to the OP kind since he's formerly an independent cultivator after all. He builds up his knowledge and skill once he arrives at the Spirit Control/Yuling sect. Overall, it's not a bad beast cultivation novel. A warning, though, it doesn't mainly focus on cultivation but also on other things.
Found it; 万兽仙尊
I got a bit interested and read until chapter 301 of the raws. I hated it. The protagonist is forced to be a taoist partner with a girl who practices a cultivation that needs someone like him. The two of them dual cultivating (girl's cultivation method) will enhance their 'feeling' even if they don't have any of that before. It feels like the protagonist is a cauldron, although they contradicted it in the novel. Feels like it, though. This forced plot made me just drop it. I thought it would get a bit better after some chapters, but it didn't. This also mainly focused on the family development, plots where they adventure onlt for the benefits of the family. There's little beast taming except in battles and situations reporting it. A disappointment. Read at your own risk.
