He has a surprising thought process hearing how Pokémon have committed geonacide on humans 3 times over. I mean don't get me wrong the humans might have asked for it but it isn't as if the Pokémon only killed the perpetrators. I don't see the mew being killed for commuting genocide at the end of the day its might makes right. If I was him I would play nice with the plan to uplift humanity beyond legendaries

I would say I'm kind annoyed how lucky Joseph is but only because I'm assuming most orphans arnt but compared to the MC he still isn't.
