I'd say that Vixen is an exception. Like I said in my review, these simulator stories tend to be pretty shallow. This fic comes in like Baldur's Gate 3 in comparison. If web novelists had to explain themselves, they would say to not expect this level of quality from other series.

I quite like them. Maybe it's because male protagonist stories tend to intentionally nerf female characters so that they'll simp for the MC, but reading them feels like it brings some fresh air.

Unless it's a smut fic, harem is a turn off for me.

More or less. Honkai has infinite power, but adjusts itself in order to force humanity to evolve. It would make more sense if this was in the Current Era, where Honkai was heavily restricted, but Previous Era Honkai freely adapts accordingly to humanity's level, not just technology.
