I think I would be blaming myself also for the death of James if I was Pharaoh. Dude just promised them if they called his name when they are in a predicament he will always be there in a jiffy. But after his father called him 2 times, he didn't show up. Can't imagine the fear of his father, probably a bit disappointed too knowing his son's promise was just that, promises, and it never came true. Sad.
When I arrived close to the farmhouse, out in the fertile land where crops used to grow, I saw Mom, and about everyone else setting up tables while off in the distance, I saw a few more parked cars along with a hearse, looking through the hearse, I saw Dad's coffin laying in the back. I wasn't as emotional as before; a month had passed, and roughly all the tears had been used in that period. Still seeing my Dad's lifestyle lying there filled me with great sorrow. The thought of flying back to Boston and killing that man would float through my mind whenever I gazed at Dad's corpse, but I never followed through with that plan, though I would be lying if I didn't secretly hope that he would do something bad so that I can justifiably kill him.

that was the last straw for me too
I then tried to recall the things I knew about the Mana core from the novel 'The Beginning After the End'. Even tho I stopped reading it around the 400th chapter due to the many annoying Pov switches it was still a good read.
