Just how Jin thinks at this current point in the story due to the background I've got set for him. I try to build my mc's like a dnd character when writing them, and it's part of his setting that may or may not change depending on how the story goes.

Jin usually keeps a small defensive barrier around his body at all times. I've tried to imply it here and there without being too on the nose about everything, but completely understandable to overlook with me trying to do more show than tell using my limited writing skill.

Barriers, though I guess I forgot to write that. I tend to miss small details due to not wanting to drag down the pacing more than already do.

Hm, yeah, it does sound a bit cringe reading it back. Was trying to foreshadow something with how I worded it, but I could have done better I think.

It started out okay, but it gradually got a little uncomfortable with how creepy the protagonist turned out. He gradually showed himself as a complete scumbag, and not the Akikan fun version of scumbag, either. Like, an actual SA inflicting, cheating, remorseless, and irredeemable scumbag. The type that ruined the life of the single mother at workplace version of scumbag. Other character portrayals were decent, but the mc is unbearable after a while.
