I also heavily agree with this, I’m actually working on a fic with an uzumaki mc, more or less starting with the fall of uzushio. The uzumaki are holding back the coalition forces relatively well, mage level ninja are dealing with pesky stuff like beast bombs and dust release, while the barrier handles everything else and if nothing changes, should be able to hold out for the week of travel that it takes konoha’s army to flank/ reinforce. An anbu squad is sent ahead of the main force to reinforce uzushio as needed. Everyone’s favorite scapegoat/villain is the anbu captain, and uses his entry to the village to eliminate the barrier team, sabotage the barrier, and raid the library for jutsu/seals, “root” is born from this wealth of knowledge, and the actual events are hidden.
