I only read the beginning, but if the mc has a special luck ability, someone else plans it for them or he is "destined" for that weapon, then it is a completely diffrent situation. But if the mc stumbled upon it with pure luck, two chapters after he says he needs that weapon, then my point still stands.

No, not really, a good plot would have been if Mc already had his spy network and they made a list of dangerous weapons, including this one, then Mc later needs a weapon and goes on to aquire this one himself. But no, now he needs one and stumbles upon it with pure luck, that's what is called a bad plot.
