I don't know I think it's a pretty basic technique considering the Destructo disc was used way back in the first season of DBZ. and that's a lot harder to make than a simple compression of keys surrounded by your body which they already do when they fly they feel the energy and then push that energy or control it to lift themselves into the air I could be wrong though I don't know it just seems basic to me because it's just wrapping their hand or fingers in ki and extending it like a blade
