Germany has a long and great history, why would you want people to be proud of a part of history where they killed anyone who didn't fit Hitler's image? Hitler only encompasses a 10 or so years long chunk of Germany's history. They can be proud of their regional history which stretches for centuries
But with its repeated defeats in the prior century, it was Karl's belief that the German Nation and the people within it had lost something great. Something unique to their culture that would never again return to this world.

I made the stupid ass choice to remove the stupid U21 European Tournament chapters because why the fuck would someone seen as the best player in the Premier League at the age of 19 go play against kids.
