Naruto went “big chakra go brrr” the whole show. Him being a genius is like if he recreated the flying raijin. Granted sage mode was impressive but even jiraiya, who was considered a joke was able to do it. And only snakes and toads can have sage summoners and there are only 2 toad summoners so maybe it really wasn’t that hard to learn. The sample size was too low to determine. Hell, even Minato was said to have sage mode so that’s 3 for 3 summoners. In the later parts of the war, kurama handled sage mode for naruto in ksm mode. Again, Naruto really was a case of “big chakra go brrr” and not really a genius. Literally no one was a genius in their age group except maybe Sakura and Shikamaru. Sasuke depended on lots of help and the sharingan. Naruto had massive reserves so he didn’t have to learn chakra control and could just spam clones or overload jutsus. You know Naruto kinda an idiot when he had to have a clone to make a rasengan.

It goes kakashi pre shippuden, Sakura shippuden, Sasuke shippuden, and then Naruto shippuden. That’s the standard.
